Within the Resilience Design (RD) movement, trainers build experience and capacity to support successive cascades of training through repeated exposure to RD trainings, practical implementation in diverse contexts, and focused mentoring. The trainer pathway is organized from T4 to T0, with T4 representing the most experienced trainer level and T0 representing community participants and beneficiaries.

A core RD training protocol is that every training includes the development of a demonstration site. This ensures that participants learn RD principles and minimum standards in a practical, hands-on environment. As a result, trainers at every level are expected to gain multiple practical experiences across different site contexts and with diverse groups of people, including implementation at their own household, farm, or project site.

The pathway in this document describes the ideal experience, qualifications, and capabilities associated with each trainer level. It is intended as a guiding framework rather than a rigid prescription, recognizing that natural systems, local contexts, and patterns remain our ultimate guides and mentors.
